House Rules
A few simple things to keep the retreat special for everyone.
Check-in & Check-out
- Check-in from 3:00 PM
- Check-out by 10:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request — please enquire at least 48 hours in advance
- Self check-in via lockbox — full instructions sent 24 hours before arrival
Guests & Occupancy
- Maximum 2 guests — this is an intimate retreat designed for couples
- No parties, events, or gatherings of any kind
- Guests must be 18 years or older
- Please do not share access codes or invite unregistered visitors
Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- Please be mindful of neighbouring properties — sound carries in the hinterland
- Music and outdoor speakers are welcome during the day at a considerate volume

Pets
- Sorry, no pets permitted — we love animals but the surrounding wildlife is sensitive
- This policy helps protect the local bird and reptile population
Smoking & Fires
- Strictly no smoking indoors
- Smoking permitted on the deck only — please use the provided ashtray and dispose of butts responsibly
- No open fires or fire pits — fire ban applies year-round due to rainforest surroundings
- The BBQ is gas-only and safe to use at any time
Property Care
- Please treat the property as you would your own home
- Report any damage or breakages promptly — accidents happen and we appreciate honesty
- Leave the property in a tidy condition — dishes washed, rubbish in bins
- Do not move furniture or fixtures outside
- A cleaning fee is included in your booking — excessive cleaning may incur an additional charge
Respecting the Rainforest
- Stay on marked paths when exploring the property and surrounds
- Do not disturb or feed wildlife — this is their home too
- Please conserve water — the property is on tank water
- Separate recycling and general waste using the labelled bins provided

We've poured our hearts into this little retreat and trust each guest to care for it as we do. These rules exist not to restrict your stay, but to protect the magic of this place — for you, for future guests, and for the rainforest itself. We hope you have a truly wonderful time.
